20th Century Fox Film Starring Ryan Reynolds as the Marvel Superhero with Leslie Uggams as His Roommate Blind Al Earns $325 Million Worldwide in Its First Week
Leslie Uggams has hit the big screen in DEADPOOL, and the new 20th Century Fox movie based on the popular Marvel Comic is a smash! In its first week DEADPOOL earned more than $325 million worldwide - $172 millioin domestic. Action-packed and totally irreverent, DEADPOOL stars Ryan Reynolds with Leslie as his feisty roommate Blind Al.
According to 20th Century Fox, Deadpool began his journey as Wade Wilson, an Army Ranger who later became a mercenary – the “Merc with the Mouth.” After being diagnosed with cancer, Wade seeks help from a rogue lab – “Weapon X” (the same program that turned Logan into The Wolverine) – that is actually engineering mutants. They “cure” Wade – but his face is disfigured, his life ruined, and he knows they are going to do the same and worse to others. His mission now: get his life back and seek vengeance on those responsible so that it doesn't happen to others.
