Leslie Uggams resumes her guest starring role as Leah Walker when EMPIRE returns in a new time slot on Wednesday, September 27 at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. Central). Uggams returns as the bi-polar mother of music producer Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) on the hit Fox TV series. Taraji P. Henson co-stars.
EMPIRE is the story of a hip-hop mogul who must choose between his three sons who are battling for control of his multi-million dollar music company. He must also deal with his ex-wife Cookie, who is scheming to make sure she gets her share.
In Season 4, EMPIRE returns its focus to the family and its dynasty, according to executive producers Lee Daniels, Ilene Chaiken, and Sanaa Hamri. The three Lyon sons are Andre (Trai Byers), Jamal (Jussie Smollett), and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray).
