Leslie Uggams joins a superstar lineup as Amas Musical Theatre celebrates 50 years of cultural diversity in American musicals during its annual benefit gala on April 1. Leslie will honor Stormy Weather playwright Sharleen Cooper Cohen with a presentation and performance of the title song.
Lilias White serves as emcee. Other performers are Len Cariou, Christopher Jackson, N'Kenge, and Vivian Reed. Honorees are Harry Belafonte, Shelly Berger, Amas Artistic Director Donna Trinkoff, and Cooper Cohen.
